Benchmark - UnixBench 5.1.2
Este software é muito utilizado pra testar o de desempenho de Servidor Dedicado ou VPS.
Nesta versão 5 ele é capaz de medir o desempenho de múltiplos CPU/Core do servidor, inclusive com HT ativado ou desativado (no caso dos processadores da Intel com HT), aumentando a confiabilidade no resultado do teste.
Instalação e teste de Processamento
Teste de "HD"
dd if=/dev/zero of=test bs=64k count=16k conv=fdatasync
O teste acima não é feito pelo unixbench, mas é recomendado para testar o desempenho de I/O, e não interfere no resultado final do unixbench.
É interessante informar Host, Plano e Preço
Ex: OVH - Dedicado Kimsufi 2G, £13.99
Se for VPS, coloque também o tipo de virtualização (OpenVZ, Xen, KVM, etc...).

Resolvendo problemas de instalação
Erro: make: *** [pgms/ubgears] Error 1
Solução: instale libXext-devel libXdevel
No CentOS: yum install libXext-devel libXdevel

O HD não é de 80GB? Por si só já deve ser lento. Vou fazer uma pergunta lá no tópico deles para quem adquiriu servidores com ele possa responder.
