    Gigenet

    Alguém aqui já chegou a utilizar o serviço ( Servidor Dedicado ou Cloud ) da Gigenet?

    Já usei em Chicago, mas faz um bom par ou trio de anos...

    utilizei desde seus primeiros beta, mas parei a uns seis meses, seu storage vivia em manutenção,mas no geral é bom.

    1º downtime.

    Hello WHT!

    We had smoke in the building.
    The fire department made us shut down everything.

    We're just now recovering power.

    I have asked for an online ETA for you and I am being told up to 2 hours.
    If I hear differently I will let you know ASAP.

    Update: At 3:24PM Central Standard Time, an incident occurred in the vicinity of our Arlington Heights data center. A power line went down as a result of an accident. This created massive power surge that was greatly mitigated by our breakers and surge protectors but resulted in one short, inciting some smoke. This was detected by our VESDA double pre-action smoke detection system and the fire department quickly arrived on site. This initial incident did not affect our service provision. However, the fire department instructed us to begin an EPO (emergency power off) procedure on our battery backup units as a safety precaution in accordance with the fire department review. The safety inspector and our electricians were required to be on site and ensure a safe power up to safeguard against equipment damage before we were able to move forward. The moment that we were cleared for a power up, we began turning customers back on in phases (as per recovery procedure, so as to not overload PDUs) and with haste.

    We would like to first thank for your patience as we restore each and every account. We would also like to dispel the report that there was a fire at our location. There was no harm done to the servers nor to our employees (we also greatly appreciate those of you posting your concerns for our safety!). Our full staff is on site and working to make sure every customer is back online and running at 100%. Gigenet has not suffered a network wide outage since opening this facility in 2006. We take pride in the stellar uptime that we have been able to provide for the last 7+ years. SLA credits will be given upon receipt of tickets submitted to the billing department. We apologize for any inconvenience this has caused you, as your success in business is very important to us.
