OVH extermina RunAbove
Runabove Cloud platform now available on OVH.COM
Eighteen months ago, the OVH Group launched RunAbove, a platform built with the goal of designing a new generation of cloud, capable of hosting powerful VMs, flexible storage & more services.
Thanks to you & your feedback, the Runabove Cloud platform has been a great success.
Two months ago, the new cloud platform, that matured on RunAbove, was launched on our OVH.COM premium brand under the product name “Public Cloud”
After a successful kickoff in Europe (FR, IT, UK), this platform will soon be available worldwide.
Now, each and every day, the services that you, the RunAbove community, helped develop and design are being deployed at OVH.com, resulting in:
- High quality SLA
- More services & added support
- High integration with the complete range of OVH products
- Full scalability & availability
- New drag & drop user interface
- And much more to come…
This new platform meets the needs of the most demanding professionals which require stable and reliable solutions for their mission critical projects. Many RunAbove users have already migrated their projects to OVH.com to benefit from security of a comprehensive SLA.
A broader and more ambitious vision of Runabove
Throughout the past year, you’ve noticed new labs & technologies appearing on Runabove.com, all of which are accessible under one user account.
PAAS, Docker, 1-Click apps etc…
That was just a beginning, as we proudly announce, RunAbove in now the official “OVH Group Lab Platform”! We’re about to offer you even more technologies to test, develop & integrate in your future projects (IoT, VDI & many more)
You’ll be able to actively participate in every step of the development process, Idea, Alpah, Beta… Together we’ll build the future technologies of the OVH.com platform.
DISCOVER THE NEW RUNABOVE
What about your existing Cloud Servers, Storage & Additional disks on runabove ?
As the lab phase is nearly over and there has been wide scale deployment of final products on OVH.COM, the 3 labs (Cloud Servers, Cloud Storage, & Additional Disks) will soon be closed on RunAbove.
The new Cloud Resources on OVH.COM are already available for FR, IT & UK customers.
As for other countries, we have not left you out. You’ll be informed when available, but also keep an eye on your local OVH.COM website for the official Public Cloud Launch.
Runabove Cloud resources (VMs, object storage & additional disks) will continue to be accessible for 2 months but it will not be possible to create new ones. It will give you time to evolve &/or retrieve your data. After that period, the infrastructure of the 3 labs (Cloud / Object Storage / Additional Disks) will be definitely stopped.
For those who require assistance in moving your existing resources to OVH.COM platforms, soon we will make available tools, docs & support to help you. We will also provide you vouchers to use & discover our OVH.COM Public Cloud
What about users of Power 8, 1 click data discovery, 1 click apps LABS ?
These 3 labs didn’t reach the “success” phase of our labs and will be closed or maybe re-engineered, at a later time, into new services or offers. These three labs will be officially closed on Runabove.com and fully stopped by the end of October.
If you’re looking for an equivalent platform or an alternative solution for production, we suggest that you to contact your local OVH.COM customer service.
What about my Runabove account ?
Your RunAbove account will remain active as well as your credit balance and you’ll have the opportunity to participate in each and every new lab offed (whether access is free of charge or not).
We look forward to your participation in all of our new labs on RunAbove.com and as users of our premium brands on OVH.com.
Thank you for your support,
The Runabove Team.
