    O destaque aqui é o famoso data center construido pelo Cresci supostamente ter a Telefonica no mix de carriers, o que sempre imaginei ser o objetivo das operadoras nacionais nos EUA: ganhar dos 2 lados . Quanto mais servidores no exterior acessados por brasileiros (e demais sul-americanos), melhor -- data centers no Brasil naum bom. Como é sabido, a Telefonica, na posição de "Tier-1" sempre cobrou por peering em Miami mas não me lembro dela fornecendo trânsito para data centers em Miami, como parece ser o caso.


    • Peering: when two or more autonomous networks interconnect directly with each other to exchange traffic.



    • Transit: when one autonomous network agrees to carry the traffic that flows between another autonomous network and all other networks.

    These mechanisms are pictured schematically in the diagrams above. Diagram I shows peering between two networks. Diagram II shows transit over two networks. Diagram III shows transit over three networks where there is a peering agreement between networks C and D, and A and B both pay for transit. Diagram IV shows how A pays to C, and B and C pay to D for transit.

    Aqui pra mim deu mais de 120ms. Ficou na média de 170ms.

    120ms não é nada excepcional para data centers de Miami que trocam tráfego com a Telefonica em Miami (NOTA).

    170ms, ou as interconexões foram em outro(s) ponto(s) de peering e/ou foi preciso trafegar nos EUA até um ponto. Ex fiicticios 1) interconexão em Ashburn e tráfego até Miami, 2) Chegada em Washington e interconexão em Miami.

    O tracert deve revelar um lado dessa questão.

    Obs: As "chegadas" (Landing Points) dos atuais cabos em operação usados pelo Brasil é em Boca Raton (eu acho) e algum dia em Jacksonville/FL e Wall/NJ. Usei o termo no sentido de primeiro HOP nos EUA listado no traceroute.
