Vultr Miami: Datacenter operating on backup power

    Vultr‏ @Vultr 4 minutes ago

Miami Update: Datacenter is operating on backup power at this time. We will update when utility power is restored.

    Vultr‏ @Vultr Sep 7

While our datacenter in Miami is hardened, this is a monster storm headed directly at Miami. Highly recommend redeploying in another region.

    Georgia braces for monster storm

    • As Hurricane Irma punished Florida with blistering 130 mph wind that turned deluges into horizontal sheets of water, Georgia was the next state in the monster storm's sights.

    • Forecasters say Irma could hit southwestern Georgia by Monday afternoon. The storm could bring up to 20 inches in southeast Georgia, according to the National Weather Service.

Florida Power & Light said it has 16,000 crews from around the country in place to restore power once it’s safe to begin repairs. But the utility said it would be a lengthy process that could take days.
